SensAbility at Atlanta School of Massage

Exactly one month ago I was treated to a blogger event hosted by Liebe PR at the SensAbility Spa in the The Atlanta School of Massage. Tia, the owner of Liebe PR and I had been in contact a few times over the past few months but never got the opportunity to meet in person, so I was doubly excited to meet her and check out the SensAbility Spa. The SensAbility Spa is located inside The Atlanta School of Massage and is a place for students to get hands on experience and accredited hours for their degree.

The Atlanta School of Massage was the first massage therapist school in Georgia to receive accreditation by the ACCSC and has been launching careers for over thirty five years. Currently they offer three programs, including massage therapy, esthetician and personal training. I received a tour of the school and was treated to a massage from a student named, Ane.

In past experiences, I’ve mostly always received exceptional service from students. My SensAbility Spa massage and massage therapist, Ane were both great. My massage felt beyond wonderful and I was definitely sitting there the last ten minutes or so, thinking, “No, please don’t be over, please don’t be over!” and then a feeling of disappointment when it was over. SensAbility Spa does honor name requests, so if you find someone you like, you can request them again but just remember they will be graduating soon, so don’t get too attached.

Since SensAbility Spa is part of a school and your massage therapist or esthetician is a student, it’s not the most relaxing atmosphere. It’s not somewhere I would take someone on their first spa experience either but for a girls day out, bridal party or even just a few hours alone it’s a great fit. There will be a teacher walking in and out several times throughout the hour, as they monitor each student and make sure that everything is going smoothly. There isn’t a lot of pampered luxuries like heating pads and aromatherapy, but they do have music and dimmed lighting. The discounted price doesn’t affect the quality of the services you get though and it’s against State Board regulations to tip students.

Not only does SensAbility Spa offer massages but they also offer skin treatments for your face and body. I got the opportunity to visit one of the teaching esthetic rooms and I was like a kid in a candy store. The Signature Facials start at only $40.00.
