If you had told me my face is ticklish, I would have completely disagreed with you! That was until I used Dr. Brandt’s, Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask for the first time. I had absolutely no idea what to expect but I can assure you this little blue bottle gave me a treat I surely wasn’t expecting.

This 1.4 ounce pump bottle squirts out a whitish, beige colored, thick cream that is almost tacky in texture, but as soon as it is exposed to skin, it starts bubbling up. It feels like how vinegar and baking soda look when combined, if my weird analogy makes any sense. Or how champagne will bubble up when you pour it in a glass or the very top layer of a bubble bath. It’s not at all a tingling sensation but more like a popping bubble tickle.

I didn’t notice that the mask hydrated my face much but it didn’t dry my skin out either. Around this time of the year, my skin is always more on the drier side and gets drier every year with age. The mask definitely instantly brightened my skin and it left my skin feeling refreshed and energized.

To start off you want to make sure that your face is moistened. The texture of the mask is very thick when it first comes out of the bottle but it quickly will start to bubble up. You don’t want to rub this mask on, instead pat it on your face. Try to spread an even layer all over your face, as quickly as possible, so you can get as much tickle action as possible. You will visibly be able to see mask grow outwards on your face as the bubbles start building on top of one another.

Leave the mask on for three to five minutes. After several minutes the bubble popping will start to decrease and a flat white film start to form. When this happens, rinse your face with warm water and follow up with your favorite moisturizer. The mask is very easy to rinse off and leaves skin feeling cool. I’ve been using the mask for several weeks now and it is absolutely my favorite at home mask I have ever had the opportunity of trying.

After raving about it to my friend, she wanted to try it. She has the most sensitive skin ever, so I’m always cautious to let her try things. I would feel terrible, if something went awry. After using the Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask several times on myself, I was pretty confident that it was gentle enough for her tender skin. Sure enough she calls me the next day to tell me how much she loved it. She also said that it had absolutely “zero, zip, zilch, nada negative effects” on her skin which completely surprised her, as she rarely finds a product that she enjoys and agrees with her delicate skin.

This was my first Dr. Brandt product that I have tried and based on my findings, I’m now more curious than ever to see what magic their other Dr. Brandt products can do for my skin. Which Dr. Brandt product is your favorite? Which one should I try next? I’m thinking possibly the PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator or the Pores No More Poresolution?
