Every so often Klout.com will offer Klout Perks for their users to sign up for. Usually there are a limit number of perks, so first come first serve. In March, I received a promotional e-mail that Benefit Cosmetics was offering a Perk. I immediately signed on and signed up considering Benefit is and has been a long time favorite and actually the first make-up brand I ever used.

In the Perk, I received one full size Roller Lash Mascara and two minis. The instructions were to give the two to two friends, take a picture and post it with hastag #curlFriends. Below is the picture we posted on April 10th, 2015. Needless to say from my picture I didn’t think anything else of it, as even one of my guy friends posted, “ew” on the picture. ah ha. Thanks. Definitely wasn’t the best picture but even to get that one shot took more tries than I’ll ever admit too and the other girls in the office were giving us mean faces as they felt left out with no mini Roller Lash Mascaras.

A month goes by and on May 12, 2015 my neighbor calls me to ask if I have any mustard. I tell her to come over, she knocks, I answer and find an orange Klout box at my door. My brain scans for any Klout Perks that I recently signed up for and I couldn’t think of any. So immediately I tear open the box and got more excited than I would winning a car on The Price is Right.

My neighbor is as blind as a bat, so she starts asking, “What is it? What is it?” I said, “Look, look, look!” She’s so blind that she still has no idea by looking close-up in the box. I exclaimed, “It’s Benefit Cosmetics! Look at all this stuff in here!!” She immediately got excited too and then says, “Well if there’s something you don’t want, I’ll take it!” 🙂 Of course, who wouldn’t want Benefit Cosmetics!

Benefit is absolutely one of my favorite make-up companies ever and even more so now, which I didn’t think was possible. Not only are their graphics adorable but their products are absolutely on point, even though they have discontinued a few of my favorites. (boo) My favorite that I seriously could not live without is the Boi-ing concealer. I’ve tried the Fake-Up and the Erase Paste which are both good but Boi-ing still takes the win for me. But using the Eye Bright or High Brow under the eye with the Fake-Up on top works too, as the Fake-Up is more moisturizing and the Boi-ing is more heavy duty.

Long before I started blogging, I actually applied for a Retail Account Manager position with Benefit Cosmetics, but apparently my resume didn’t stand out or possibly my experience wasn’t up to par at that point. If Benefit Cosmetics ever does have a need for an enthusiastic employee, they won’t have to look any further —-> here I am! Being part of their graphic design team would be a package designer’s dream job but I’d settle for almost any position.

Below is a “brag” video of all my Benefit goodies. A million thanks to Benefit Cosmetics and Klout.
